Haase and Middelkoop claim the Tata Open Maharashtra Doubles title

Gilles Simon had some time before he came back on the Centre Court, this time with his Doubles partner, Pierre-Hugues Herbert to face Robin Haase and Matwe Middelkoop in quench of the Tata Open Maharashtra Doubles title.
This final too, was fought hard between the two pairs, who arrived in this match with rich form. After a confident start, Simon and Herbert finally broke the serve to take a 3-2 lead in the first set. But the Dutch pair came back straight away to break the serve and level things at 3-3. Haase and Middelkoop looked more in-sync as the match moved on. Although the first set went into the tie-breaker, the Dutch pair held their nerves and came out victorious to win the set 7-6(7-5).
The pairs continued playing intense Tennis as the second set was going neck-to-neck. Herbert and Simon had found their rhythm and were giving everything back to the Dutch pair. Both pairs were winning on their serves until the 8th game where Herbert and Simon broke the serve. But Haase and Middelkoop did not lose hope and came back again in the match and broke their serve. The match eventually went into the tie-breaker. Ultimately the experience of Robin Haase and Matwe Middelkoop came of good use as they won the tie-breaker 7-5 and won the match 7-6(7-5), 7-6(7-5). Congratulations to the Dutch pair who won their first Doubles Career Title together!
